The Taurus Security System is integrated into every Taurus semi-auto handgun, providing instant-ready protection with the ability to lock your pistol and make it unusable with the turn of a key. The handgun cannot be shot or cocked while the Security System is activated, and the gun’s manual safety cannot be removed.

The gadget is part of the firearm and cannot be misplaced, much as our revolver Security System, and the same unique Security Key works for both the revolver and pistol systems (two keys come with each gun). To engage, put the Key into the button on the pistol’s back or side and spin one-quarter turn clockwise.
