SIG Sauer wanted to do the entry-level AR-15 the right way with the addition of the M400 Tread to its range, offering customers a rifle developed from the bottom up to give the best possible features at a price anybody can afford.

Each SIG Sauer M400 Tread is a notch above what most people consider when “entry-level AR-15” jumps to mind. Gone are the boilerplate A2 parts. Instead, SIG installed wear- and recoil-reducing mid-length gas system complete with a low-profile gas block buried behind a free-float handguard compatible with all M-LOK attachments. The rifle also includes ambidextrous controls, and the barrel is made from stainless steel.
