Is the Savage 93 FV any good?
This probably won’t shock you, but the 93 FV’s groups tend to open up as the rifle becomes warm, even with that big bull barrel. I put 150 bullets through the gun this time out. After the first 125 rounds or so, I placed the Savage away and let it cool for a little and the groupings appeared to tighten up a bit. In summary, the 93 FV is heaps o’ fun. What sort of barrel does the FV SR have?
The Mark II FV SR boasts user-adjustable AccuTrigger™ technology for precise, customizable trigger pulls. Its hefty, button-rifled, 16.5-inch barrel is additionally fluted, threaded, and matched with a black synthetic stock. The rifle includes a 5-round detachable box magazine and a one-piece sight rail. Is the Ruger 93 FV a decent rifle?
In summary, the 93 FV is heaps o’ fun. Being a bolt action. 22, you can fire it till you run out of daylight and not be any worse for wear — or much lighter in the pocketbook. And it pretty much fires where you aim it, which is a nice attribute in any rifle. If you don’t mind dealing with those annoying mag difficulties, you’ll truly have yourself something. How good is the maglock on the Savage 93?
The maglock is quite positive and empties pretty much drop into my palm when the release is pressed, even on a brand new, just-out-of-the-box rifle. And although the 93 doesn’t feature Savage’s AccuStock, the synthetic feels pretty robust.
