HENRY REPEATING ARMS – COLOR CASE HARDENED LEVER-ACTION SIDE GATE
Henry Repeating Arms recognizes that the world of lever actions is vast, with a broad range of lever-gunners searching for a wide range of lever actions to meet their wants and preferences. We try our best to cater to all of those categories among our clients, and whether you’re a student of the Old West or a fan of the classic aesthetics (and nostalgia) of time-honored case hardened hues, the Color Case Hardened Lever Action Side Gate models have you covered.
The colors originate from a true case-hardening process on the frame and fore-end cap, which makes these rifles different from our other blued steel models, without the dazzling “Here I am!” of the brass and silver guns.
The deep bluing, dark walnut, and speckled case colors make their fundamental camouflage in the woods, where they’re quite at home, that your Great Grandpa would have been well acquainted with when shooting deer or elk, and we like to believe he’d have been very pleased to have this Henry around.
The Color Case’s profile combines old and modern. Hardened rifles are common, and the two calibers are likewise well-known. The.30-30 was introduced in 1894, and the.45-70 in 1873, and although both are regarded as antiques today, the contemporary hunter can handle everything from coyote to grizzly bear with the correct load.
The rifles themselves are 100% American, with octagonal barrels, adjustable buckhorn and bead sights, and checkered walnut furniture, and are created in our Rice Lake, Wisconsin, plant (where all-steel versions are made).
The transfer bar safety, a side loading gate and detachable tube magazine arrangement, sling swivel studs, a drilled and tapped frame, and a vented rubber recoil cushion all contribute to the contemporary aspect. Choose the straight-wristed as your caliber. The pistol-gripped or the 30-30. 45-70 minutes later, you’ll be ready to pick up where Great-Grandpa left off. In his day, this would have been called a luxury model, and if he were alive now, you’d earn an envious nod of approval.
Color Case Hardened Lever Action Side Gate.30-30 & .45-70
We’ve got you covered whether you’re a student of the Old West or a fan of the classic beauty (and nostalgia) of time-honored case hardened hues. Our color cased steel-framed rifles now include a side loading gate for quick magazine top-off while still keeping the original tube magazine for unloading the weapon without cycling bullets through the action.
These stunning lever action rifles are available in the classic.30-30 and legendary.45-70 calibers. The.30-30 has a 20-inch octagon barrel, a straight-wrist stock, and a 5-shot magazine capacity, while the.45-70 has a 22-inch octagon barrel, a pistol-grip stock, and a 4-shot magazine capacity.
The colors originate from a true case-hardening process on the frame and fore-end cap, which means no two receivers will look similar. The authentic American walnut stocks on both models include beautiful checkering, an automated in-hammer transfer bar safety, and the receivers are drilled and tapped for optional scope use.
For those who like iron sights, the barrels include an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight and a brass bead front sight. Standard features include sling swivel studs and vented rubber recoil cushions.
For millions of deer hunters, the.30-30 is the caliber of choice, while the.45-70 will take down anything in the Lower 48. You’re ready to pick up where Great-Grandpa left off after you’ve decided on your caliber. In his day, this would have been called a luxury model, and if he were alive now, you’d earn an envious nod of approval.
