D.S. ARMS – FAL/SA58 308 WINCHESTER TRADITIONAL PROFILE FIXED STOCK
D.S. ARMS – FAL/SA58 308 WINCHESTER TRADITIONAL PROFILE FIXED STOCK. The DS Arms Bush Warrior Rifle is designed after one of the final contract FALs that FN built, for the government of Bolivia. The Bush Warrior design includes an 18″ carbine barrel rather than the full size 21″ barrel offered in our Cold Warrior rifle. The Bush Warrior has a lot of the characteristics that every FAL aficionado seeks while also having some cost-saving measures in place for us to be able to offer this rifle at an entry-level pricing point.
Some of the Bolivian specifications that we’ve kept in this rifle are the Holland Style rear sight which is one of the most durable rifle sights to ever be made, the 50.63 PARA Style folding cocking handle, this cocking handle folds flat against the receiver preventing any snagging or gouging if the rifle is slung across the back.
The rifle is created utilizing the Type 3 receiver, although the original Bolivian contract asked for a NON-Carry Handle Cut version we chose to include the cut for end users who may wish to add the carry handle functionality to the weapon.
The receiver, as well as the top cover, feature a Matte Black DuraCoat finish; not only does this finish add another layer of protection it also allows this rifle to have clean black lines while avoiding the added expense of a complete Matte Black DuraCoat finish that our SA58 line of rifles features. This rifle is compatible and interchangeable with all Metric Pattern parts & attachments.

Is the DS Arms sa58 Fal worth the price?
The DS Arms SA58 FAL boasts fantastic ergonomics and appearance, however our non-functioning trigger and poor accuracy put a damper on our tests. However, in a world where it’s impossible to get a modernized FAL, the exorbitant price tag of roughly $2200 could be your only bet. DS Arms (DSA) FAL SA58 – Pew Pew Tactical
Is the DSA FAL a decent rifle?
My perception is that DSA’s quality and customer service have been decreasing considerably in recent years. When compared to other combat rifles of the period, the FAL is my hands-down favorite because of the ergonomics and light recoil. One thing I have also found is that you need to run them fairly wet. What was the initial caliber of the American Fal?
One of the initial designs was chambered in a .280 British. The U.S. chose the M14 to be their short-lived combat rifle which was eventually superseded by Eugene Stoner’s (AMEN) design in the M16 service rifle. That didn’t deter European NATO partners from picking the FAL moving into the Cold War period.
