CZUB engineers began with the greatest elements of the original Shadow and enhanced them. We are now witnessing the rewards of their labors more than two years later. The elevated beavertail and undercut trigger guard allow the shooter’s hand to be as near to the bore axis as feasible. A contoured slide also keeps the bulk of the reciprocating mass centered on the bore, which results in less muzzle flip. Additionally, increasing the weight at the dust cover/rail helps keep the muzzle down.
The Shadow 2’s interchangeable magazine release has an adjustable, extended button with three settings, allowing shooters to position it in the most comfortable position for them. Best of all, the redesigned trigger components provide smooth DA and sharp, clean SA while lowering trigger reset significantly.
A tough nitride coating protects the whole handgun, making it practically immune to corrosion, while the frame is finished in an Urban Grey Polycoat. The pistol’s slim black metal grips have healthy checkering that matches the pistol’s superb front and backstrap checkering. A pair of target sights are mounted atop the slide – a fiber optic front sight and a serrated, black HAJO rear sight (click adjustable for elevation, drift adjustable for windage).
