The frame, which is hammer-forged, CNC-machined, and then blued, is the show-stopper. Its very large dustcover, which eliminates both recoil and muzzle rise, is immediately noticeable. It blends traditional CZ 75 ergonomics with purposedriven characteristics suitable for competition, like a thick beavertail, undercut triggerguard, elevated 25 LPI checkering, and an internal magwell.

To guarantee that the trigger is in good working order, both the hammer and the sear are directly fixed in the frame to provide consistent trigger pulls. The DA draw weight ranges from 8 to 8.5 pounds, while the SA is 3-3.5 pounds with a brief reset. The trigger was taken from the CZ 85 Combat.

The slide is made of 4140 bar stock and has serrations on the front and back, as well as a CZ Custom low-mount rear sight and fiber-optic front sight. A 4.925″ match-grade bull barrel constructed of 416 stainless steel is the cherry on top. The A01-LD comes with two 19-round P-09 magazines, which are designed for the larger capacity P-09/P-07/P-10 magazine platform.
