Versatile Rifle with Folding Stock Functionality
Buy FOXTROT MIKE PRODUCTS – FM-15 223 RIFLE WITH FOLDING ZHUKOV STOCK online. The FM-15 Rifle from Foxtrot Mike (FM) Products provides high-end features, out of the box, at a terrific price. The core of the FM-15 is its innovative bolt carrier and forward charging handle design.
FM developed the lightweight bolt carrier so that the FM-15 may fire with the Magpul Zhukov stock folded or extended. The bolt carrier is not the only light component, the complete weapon comes in at an empty weight of 6.5 lbs. The bolt carrier reciprocates on a unique twin nested recoil spring, which is totally maintained within the upper receiver.
The forward-placed non-reciprocating charging handle interfaces with a raised section on the gas key of the carrier. This design enables for quick weapons handling and charging, all while maintaining the firing hand on the pistol grip.
The metal charging handle may be changed to angle down or up, and can be moved to the right- or left-hand sides. The charging handle may be reached by removing the free float handguard, unscrewing one set screw, and sliding the charging handle mechanism out.
The charging handle sits atop a direct impingement gas system, quite similar to a conventional AR-15. What is not typical about the gas system is the FM unique gas block, which indexes the barrel with an alignment nub. The gas block is additionally strongly fastened in place with two coil pins to prevent any movement or gas loss. The gas system is mid-length.
The 16-inch nitride barrel is chambered in 223 Wylde, which enables for dependability with 5.56×45 mm NATO & 223 Remington ammo. The ultra-hard & lubricious nitride coating on the barrel assists cleaning and prevents corrosion. The barrel is sealed with an A2 flash hider.

U.S.A. –-(AmmoLand.com)- The AR-pattern rifle is arguably one of the most prolific guns in the United States. The platform is regarded for outstanding customization possibilities and high overall functionality.
Naturally, many additional platforms have been influenced by the now-classic layout and handling qualities of the AR. With the popularity of standard-pattern AR15s and the sheer variety of AR-styled rifles on the market today, it might be easy to miss platforms whose innovations and upgrades create a really unique experience from that of a regular AR15.
Foxtrot Mike Products FM-15
In the past, I was quite cautious to move away from the basic AR15 platform, even solely for recreational reasons. I had been on the range with various AR-pattern rifles previously and had seen some strange mechanical faults and patchy performance.
The second problem I’ve discovered with some of those platforms is that they lack a rationale for being distinct. Some products are featureful and beautifully crafted, like the DRD Tactical Aptus, but are out of the ordinary shooter’s grasp in terms of price. The FM-15 from Foxtrot Mike Products brings both features and affordability to the table.
The FM-15 is a semi-automatic, forward charging 5.56 rifle. The rifle does not make use of a typical buffer tube and spring like an AR does. This means the stock can be folded without interrupting the functioning of the pistol.
The forward charging handle of the FM-15 works in combination with a special bolt carrier group. This lighter bolt carrier group aids in the rifle’s ability to fire consistently with the stock folded or extended. The action also contains an innovative dual-nested recoil spring mechanism, located inside the upper receiver of the rifle.

The front charging handle of the FM-15 is non-reciprocating and its orientation may be altered in a few of ways to match the shooter’s demands. The handle may curve either upwards or downwards. More crucially, it can be changed from one side of the cannon to the other. This was extremely beneficial for me as a left-handed shooter.
The arrangement of the charging handle seems extremely natural. It is simple to grasp and control, yet out of the way if the shooter wishes to place a light or other accessory in front of it. The technique of switching the charging handle out by removing the M-LOK handguard is not complex, but it is not something I would undertake on the range or without suitable tools.
While on the issue of the handguard, there is plenty of room for attachments on the Foxtrot Mike Products FM-15 carbine. The accompanying textured grip panels work excellent and kept my palm locked onto the rifle even when shooting in the rain.
Other characteristics of the Foxtrot Mike Products FM-15 include a mid-length, direct impingement gas system. This is comparable to those found in ordinary ARs and is a break from the trend of piston-driven alternatives.
It also incorporates a strong custom gas block that maintains alignment with the barrel using an unusual indexing technique. The barrel itself is 16 inches long and bears a nitride finish. The FM-15 makes use of a .223 Wylde chamber, enabling for accuracy and dependability with both .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO ammunition. The upper receiver of the rifle may be fitted with most standard AR lowers.
Going ahead I will be testing third-party AR parts for compatibility but elected to keep all stock components (with the exception of the pistol grip) in place to guarantee the performance of the rifle was not changed until shooting tests could be performed.
