Bergara’s Premium 416 stainless steel barrels are hand-honed at our barrel manufacturing plant in Bergara, Spain. The barrel is then Cerakote finished in the Bergara USA plant and mated with our patented Bergara PREMIER action, which has a nonrotating gas shield, coned bolt nose, and sliding plate extractor.

This action is a two-lug system with a separate floating bolt head to assure contact with the action’s lug abutments. Additionally, it incorporates a cone-shaped bolt snout that facilitates cartridge loading, as well as a spring-loaded sliding plate extractor situated in front of the bottom locking lug. The stainless steel one-piece bolt body has a pad at the back to accommodate the threaded-in bolt handle.

The bolt head, non-rotating gas shield, bolt handle, and bolt shroud are all completely Nitrided for high durability and self-lubrication.

The two-position safety is integrated into the trigger assembly, which is a TriggerTech Frictionless Release Technology trigger on the HMR Pro rifle. One outstanding characteristic of this combination is that the bolt handle does not automatically lock in the closed position, allowing the rifle to be emptied while in the safe position. The HMR Pro is available in three barrel lengths: 20 inch, 24 inch, and 26 inch.

The Bergara Premier HMR Pro (Hunting and Match Rifle) stock incorporates a mini-chassis for consistent bedding. It is capable of supporting a barrel that is completely free-floating. The stock has flush cup mounts for use with QD sling connections.”
